Larch again and again, a family ride in the heart of the Pélinche forest near the resort.
If there’s one hike that lets you discover all the beauty of the Risoul Forest, it’s La Ronde de Pélinche.
This family-friendly loop invites you to explore the undergrowth of the Pélinche Forest, just a few minutes from the base of the slopes, in a calm and refreshing setting.
All along the route, majestic larch trees line your path. As the only conifer in Europe to shed its needles in the fall, this iconic Alpine tree creates a unique light and atmosphere that changes with the seasons. Along the way, let yourself be guided by the “Flowers and Trees” interpretive trail, a fun walk that lets you learn more about the alpine flora and the forest species that shape Risoul’s landscapes.
The route alternates pleasantly between shaded forest paths and more open sections offering beautiful views of the resort and the surrounding mountains. Several picnic areas dot the route, inviting you to take a break in the heart of nature.
Accessible to a wide range of hikers thanks to its moderate elevation gain, La Ronde de Pélinche is ideal for a family outing, a nature walk, or even a first foray into trail running on varied, rolling terrain.
