Risoul Resort wishes to inform its residents, holidaymakers and all visitors that the fireworks display scheduled for Sunday, 16 August 2026 has been cancelled.
This decision has been made for two essential reasons.
Firstly, in accordance with Prefectural Order No. 05-2026-07-23-00002, the Hautes-Alpes department is currently under a Red Alert, which prohibits all fireworks displays in order to prevent the risk of wildfires.
Secondly, this is also a decision based on responsibility and solidarity. As numerous wildfires continue to affect several regions across France, we wish to express our sincere support to the municipalities, residents and everyone who has been deeply impacted by these tragic events.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the firefighters, emergency services, security forces, and all the women and men working tirelessly to protect communities and preserve our natural environment.
The 15 August celebrations will nevertheless go ahead as planned. The evening will begin with a concert by Non Homologué, performing a 100% Jean-Jacques Goldman tribute, followed by a festive dance party hosted by the Décibels 05 association, featuring the greatest hits of the 1980s. We look forward to welcoming many of you to share this enjoyable evening together.
We know that the fireworks display is one of the highlights of the summer season in Risoul every year. We naturally share your disappointment at its cancellation, but the safety of everyone and our respect for those currently fighting the wildfires must remain our highest priority.
We sincerely thank you for your understanding.
