- Battery Collection
The municipality of Risoul organizes a collection of used batteries.
They can be deposited at the Town Hall, during the usual opening days and hours.
- SMITOMGA
Joint Local Authority for Household Waste Treatment of the Guillestrois, Queyras and Argentiérois areas
In 1987, the Communities of Municipalities of the Guillestrois and the Pays des Écrins joined forces to create SMITOMGA (Joint Local Authority for Household Waste Treatment of the cantons of Guillestre and L’Argentière).
These two local authorities delegated to SMITOMGA the responsibility for household waste treatment, as well as the management of the landfill site located near the Guillestre waste collection center.
A landfill site was built in 1988, and residual household waste was disposed of there until 2004, when the site was closed.
Today, SMITOMGA carries out two main missions:
* the treatment of residual household waste
(grey bins – non-recyclable waste)
* waste prevention
