Nostalgic
Things were so much better back in the day!
I’ve heard that more than once...
But when I look back—what about love, friendship, and family?
Waiting for and receiving a letter—that was truly priceless!
And what about meeting people, flirting, how we were raised, TV shows, cinema, music, or our purchasing power?
Yes, things were better back then!
Even having children was better back in the day...
I would have loved to have kids who were perfectly happy with a "Yéti" ice pop and a franc’s worth of candy, playing around the neighborhood from morning till night!
Instead, I’ve got a creature who only speaks to me to ask for money or to order food delivery—someone who hibernates longer than a bear in its den, in a bedroom so cluttered you’d need a dump truck and a sanitation crew just to clear it out!
You always get the feeling you’re a total nuisance to them; their only responses to anything you ask are: "Don't worry about it," "Hang on," "I want a new console game," or "When are we eating?"...
When the year 2000 approached, everyone predicted a global computer bug. Well, that bug definitely happened...
...right inside our own sperm, resulting in this new generation!
Even being in a couple was better back then... though I’ll try to convince you of that during the show!
So, this is my love letter to the 80s and 90s—and also to the one person who could make me laugh and cry in the span of a single minute: Marcel Pagnol.
I’ll be paying a brief tribute to him, sharing a few excerpts from his finest works. Sure, I was dressed worse, my hair was a mess, and my background is—let’s say—a bit unconventional... but man, do I ever feel nostalgic for the past!
Damn right—things were better back then!
