St Crepin Airfield

Saint Crépin is the highly evocative name of a renowned Mountain flying site which is located in the heart of the mountains between the town of Briançon and Serre-Ponçon lake, on the banks of the river Durance. This outstanding site lies in the bottom of the valley at an altitude of 903 m, at the foot of the Ecrins mountain range and the Queyras Regional Park. The Airfield is the furthest north in the Southern Alps, and is a real hive of sporting activity.
The two runways are North-South facing;  the paved runway for aircraft is  873m long and the grass runway for gliders is 650m long. The airfield is open to public air traffic.
Saint Crépin enjoys outstanding flying conditions and is extremely popular with expert Mountain flying fans and beginner pilots alike. You will soar over some of the most beautiful sites in France.
